build muscle


I have found that mountain biking is great way to get my family outdoors, doing a physical activity that will build muscle without much resistance. The kids and my husband all enjoy a nice trek on their mountains bikes. Without even knowing it they are able to build muscle, work on endurance, burn some energy and calories. I don't dwell too much on the "build muscle" aspect. I just focus on the cool bikes they have, the snacks we are going to eat and the beauty of nature along the way.

The activity of mountain biking truly is a win-win situation as I get my family away from the video games and the sports events on television. With mountain biking they have become participants rather than observers in this game called life. From what I can tell they really enjoy it as they laugh, challenge each other to sprints and even point out a certain lizard or flower as we go along the trails. It really does my heart good physically and metaphysically to see this activity do so much for my family.
