Build Muscle with a Fun Pilates Workout |

I have found pilates to be a fun way to build muscle. I like the gentle yet powerful moves that are taught during a pilates workout. My girlfriend introduced me to the practice. She is a member at the local gym and brought me to a pilates class as her guest one day. That was all it took. I was hooked. I have since become a member of the gym and attend the pilates class several times week.
As a result I have been able to build muscle and have become more flexible. The pilates class begins with stretching routines. These evolve into strenuous power moves that build muscle. Then the class cools down with more stretching and ends with a short meditation. All of this is done with the guidance of a knowledgeable instructor. She helps with accurate positioning during the power moves so the students build muscle without pulling muscles. The music played throughout the class is mellow and soothing. I enjoy the pilates workout and the way it gently helps me to build muscle. |
