Pomegranate Concentrate Among the Best Nutritional Supplements |

We have a pomegranate bush in the front yard and while the fruit lasts, we enjoy eating the delicious seeds inside the fruit. Last year we had a light crop, so we started buying pomegranate juice concentrate online to get the nutritional benefits from pomegranates all year long. I order Jarrow Formulas PomeGreat™ Pomegranate Juice Concentrate almost every month when the fruit is out of season as one of our primary nutritional supplements. There are so many health benefits from consuming pomegranates, but their season is so short and I'm glad we can order it all year long. According to the website where I order it, Fit Electronic at http://www.fitelectronic.com, this juice concentrate has more antioxidants in it than blueberries or strawberries, making it one of the best nutritional supplements out there.
I just feel that if we take concentrated nutritional supplements like this, we are setting the stage for good health for years to come. The body is an amazing machine but like all machinery, it needs to be fed the right fuel. Nutritional supplements like this are easy to take, delicious, and sometimes I mix it in with our iced or hot tea. I've even used it as an ingredient in baking, too.
Pomegranates are an amazing fruit from start to finish. The flower is actually the outer shell of the ripened fruit and as it grows, the flower turns into the tough skin of the fruit. We lose about half our crop to the birds, but that's OK because they benefit from eating it too and we have many more options for nutritional supplements than they do. They need vitamins minerals to stay healthy, too, and I'm OK with sharing that nutritious crop with them. The tomatoes are another story, however, and I am religious about keeping the birds out of that crop by covering the vines with netting.
This winter we had tons of rain and the pomegranate bush is presently covered with beautiful trumpet-like red flowers and hopefully each of them will form a nice fruit for the harvest this fall. Amazingly, pomegranates are one of the easiest fruit bushes to grow in the right climate. Even though it's deciduous, I don't know how many chill hours it can take in the winter. We didn't have one frost this winter, which may be why the tree is thriving right now.
Besides the pomegranate tree, we also have lots of plants in the yard that I use as nutritional supplements, too, like aloe vera, rosemary, rose hips (from rose flowers) that are loaded with vitamins minerals and make an interesting tea. Even though we harvest from our yard, I'd still order the pomegranate concentrate because it takes tons of fruit to make the juice that we get from Fit Electronics because each bottle contains 47 servings, and that's a lot of pomegranates!
